To Rome and back

Well, I just had a gut wrenching few hours.  In reviewing my paperwork, confirmations, calendaring, etc., I had the very upsetting realization that when I booked my hotel for Rome, I only booked for the first night.  Of course, the hotel was sold out for the rest of my time in Rome.  My lifelong fears of being a bag lady were coming true.  I was going to be homeless on the streets of Rome!  MaryJo graciously offered that I could share her room with Kelly.  Not sure how Kelly would have felt about that.  After trying to call the hotel, and about two hours online with MaryJo, through Booking.com, my hotel, the Colonna Palace, popped up with the availability of the nights I needed.  At first I thought it was $750 a night instead of $200.  I didn\’t care!  I felt it was my punishment for my carelessness.  But, no, it was for the entire stay.  Ottimo!  Lesson learned, always double check the details before hitting \”send.\”

Here is a photo of my room at the Colonna Palace.  I love Booking.com
