NEW TRAVELS DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC

During this pandemic, we have had to implement safety practices to keep all of us safe and healthy. Social distancing and wearing a mask have become everyday occurrences. We are practicing these safety measures for our own health, but also for the health of those around us.

I have found that I have some extra time on my hands and am looking at this alone time as an opportunity to gain personal insight and growth. Learning is something I\’ve always enjoyed. So, to accomplish this, and to stay engaged I have signed up for a few different classes.

Getting in touch with my inspirational side has always interested me. To that end, I signed up for a class called \”The Sage Method.\” This methods teaches you to utilize your natural intuitive abilities. This method does help you get in touch with your psychic awareness, but I wanted to learn this method to tap into my intuition.

I enjoy writing. Other than college English classes, I have not educated myself further in the art of writing. One of the items in my bucket list is to take a creative writing class. Now, you might think timing is all wrong because of Covid-19, but actually, the timing is perfect. I signed up for a class through Mesa Community College. The class is all online and at your own pace. Classes start on August 24 and, needless to say, I am excited.

Exercise has been an important part of my life. Because of the pandemic, I have not visited my gym for months now. I miss the workouts. So, to get back into working out, I have joined Gaia.com to work on my yoga and pilates practice. I\’m learning new techniques on a daily basis.

Lastly, but not any less important, is my golf game. I really enjoy golfing with my girlfriends, but even more with Charlie, my significant other. I really struggle with my long woods (other than the driver). I am dedicating myself to improve my golf game skills, and to lessen the frustration. For me, these two goals tie together with the Sage Method and my Yoga practice. I have a book that I enjoy reading called, “Zen Golf – Mastering the Mental Game“, by Dr. Joseph Parent. It occurred to me that the Sage Method and Yoga could quite likely help me with my golf game. To me, golf is just as much mental as it is physical.

Having said all this, I want to start connecting with all of you again through my website, www.amusingventure.com. I have a few short trips coming up to share with you. To get out of the heat of Phoenix, I will be spending some time at a cabin in the pines. Right after that, Charlie and I will be spending some time on Coronado Island in California. October we have a golf trip planned with our good friends to participate in a golf tournament in Puerto Penasco in Mexico. We are taking the stance that the pandemic will still be a big part of our lives, and I assure you, we will practice social distancing and mask wearing.

Please come along with me on these adventures. I have missed you!
