Shopping for Italy

I\’ve  learned a few things about shopping for Italy since my last post. I returned the Fossil bag.  It was really attractive, but was very heavy.   I put my wallet, phone and some incidentals in it and went out to dinner.  It was so heavy, it hurt my shoulder.  My adorable grandson Anthony had to carry it for me!  Okay, this purse was not going to work.  I started looking online and found some anti-theft travel purses at REI and for a fifth of the price of the heavy bag.  I purchased a Pacsafe bag.  It has an anti-theft mesh in the fabric so if your bag is slashed, your contents won\’t fall out.  The strap is reinforced with a stainless steel wire preventing it from being easily cut.  It has a few other safety features, but a new one I learned about is the RFID blocking pocket which prevents high tech thieves from downloading and stealing your identity stored on the microchip in your passport or credit cards.  Keep in mind, too, that the new chip technology in credit cards is the reI\’ve learned a few things about shopping for Italy since ny last post.
